WebbI searched and searched and found a 'backup' folder, it was located under Appdata\Local\Microsoft\OneNote. In there I found a folder called "16.0". In that folder I found two locations, "Backup" and "cache"....I'm guessing this is where I can recover some of my stuff? Onenote must store an embedded file for editing in a temporary place for a handover to its editor. You should open it to look at the content. If it's ok then rename it and re-embed it. Then delete it from the cache plus the old original from Onenote. Bernd.
