WebSep 6, 2024 · Great Whernside is a great fell to visit if you want a sense of achievement. Once at the summit, great views across the valley are a good reward. I have done both the anti clockwise route out of Kettlewell and walked from Buckden over Buckden Pike to Great Whernside and then caught the bus back to Buckden. Both memorable walks.
